Plus when you look at the NFC, it's highly likely that the champs of the North and West divisions could very easy be only 8-8. That's why the Eagles are a decent bet to get back to the Super Bowl... the NFC is so sorry from top to bottom. I said it once and I'll say it again, the champ will come from the AFC.

In response to Edge... KC is a paper tiger. The way they let Philly come back on them, down 17, AT HOME was shameful. No team can allow that in their own house and claim to be a top team. That's why everyone is down on the Patriots right now. San Diego stomped them in the second half, in their house.

But speaking of injuries... Mrs. McNabb's baby boy isn't going to make it to the playoffs in one piece. He's been playing great football, inspired football even... but the chance of him keeping this up until February are somewhere between SLIM and NONE. Although they still may win the NFC by default... as is it the "Not Football Conference".

Patriots or no Patriots... the AFC is where the power lies. But Denver? Are you kidding me? They aren't even the best team in their division much less the conference. The Chargers are picking up steam and have the best offense in the league this side of Indy. And oh by the way... the Colts found out how to play defense. They're now a complete team and will be VERY tough to beat. Rounding out the AFC contenders you have Pittsburgh. Big Ben is for real and they'll be in the mix when it's all over.

The Pats will still win their division, basically by default. The Dolphins are a 7-9 team, as are the Bills. And the Jets... well, they may not win again all year. I like ol' Vinny, but that's a beaten team.

Bottom line... this is the Colts year. It pains me to say that as I can't stand anybody in the Manning family, but they've finally put the pieces together. Their NFC opponent? Does it matter? Frankly, the Eagles MAY win it by default... but it won't matter at all, as whoever comes out of the NFC will be fodder for the AFC champ.
YOU ABOUT TO EAT UR WORDS

DENVER IS ATOP THE AFC IN THERE DIV AT 6-2 PLUS THEY BEAT THE EAGLES AND PATS

denver is no longer a joke

ea running back is nearing 1,000 yards ea!

and plummer is doing a great job.

terrell owens and Too Bad should only be used in conjunction with "he's playing" or "he's talking"

I think it is funny how so many people said that the nfc is gonna completely suck. From what I see, teams like The Giants, Falcons, Bucs, Panthers, and even sometimes the 'Skins and Cowboys are looking pretty good. Whereas afc teams like the Pats, Steelers, and Chargers (who were supposed to be serious contenders) are flopping. I think this year has given us tons of surprises so far. What with the Colts and Bengals both looking championship calibur and perenial favorites Eagles, Pats, and some others flopping.

And I think it will be Colts vs. Giants in the Super Bowl

The NFC is full of pretenders. Most of those teams you listed have simply feasted on very easy schedules. Teams like the Falcons, Seahawks, Bucs, Panthers, and Bears have simply gotten fat pounding on pathetic teams. Two entire divisions are a total waste of space (I'm looking at you NFC North and West). The East is competitive, and probably the best division top-to-bottom in football (raise your hand if you saw THAT coming?) and the South is going to come down to the Panthers. The Bucs have already been exposed as a fraud, and the Falcons will be next.

I stand by what I said at the beginning of the year... the Super Bowl champion will come from the AFC, take it to the bank. The easy money (and safe money) is on the Colts, but don't count out the Steelers. I still don't buy Jake Plummer and the Broncos. The Colts OWN them in the playoffs. But Pittsburgh's ball control style offense could keep Peyton's big O off the field long enough to beat the Colts.

The NFC victim... er, I mean representative will probably come down to the Giants or Cowboys (whoever wins the East) and the Panthers. I like the Panthers over both those teams. They have the toughness and experience over the Giants, and the Cowboys have already proven that they fold under pressure late in games.

Hate to quote myself, but:

Super Bowl XL

Colts 38
Panthers 30
